Winston Graves Physical Therapist
Physical therapy kept my dream of playing college sports alive.
As a college athlete I experienced many injuries playing football and lacrosse. I went through physical therapy for back, shoulder, and knee injuries that threatened my playing careers. Experiencing the benefits of physical therapy first-hand, and how quickly it got me back on the playing field, instilled in me a passion for physical medicine. Physical therapy gave me the opportunity to live my dream of playing college sports, and that’s why I chose to become a physical therapist. As a therapist I help others to achieve their dreams.
Even though my football and lacrosse playing careers are over, I continue to work with athletes as a high school lacrosse coach and by treating athletes from all sports. Growing up I was very active and was always playing different sports from baseball and basketball to ice hockey and soccer. I love staying connected to athletes and sport, and that’s one of the reasons I love Rose Physical Therapy.
Rose Physical Therapy is unlike most other clinics because we take the time to work directly with clients to share our expertise. At Rose we work directly, one-on-one for a full hour with our clients. This allows us to provide high quality care and allows our clients to maximize their potential during treatments. All of this leads to getting you back to doing what you love faster. It embodies my passion for being a physical therapist, to help others get back to their life and doing what they love.
I went to Hampden-Sydney College for undergraduate and earned my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Marymount University in Arlington, VA. As a life-long Capitals and Redskins fan, I enjoy living in the Washington, D.C. area and being able to catch lots of games. When not in clinic, you can usually find me in the gym, hunting, fishing, skiing, playing tennis, golfing, or exploring all that Washington, D.C. has to offer!
