Allegra Wham Office Coordinator

I’m Allegra and I’m part of the office coordinator team here at Rose! I came to Rose after working at Pacers Running for several years. I first learned about Rose because they worked closely with Pacers Running to host events and provide injury assessments. When I learned that Rose had an opening for an office coordinator I was excited to apply.

I grew up in Arlington and made my way back to the area after graduating from Bryn Mawr College with a degree in Sociology. In college, I focused on medical sociology and public health; I always knew I wanted to do something in healthcare.

Like many others, I was first introduced to the profession when an injury halted my cross-country season and landed me in physical therapy. From then on, my fascination with the body grew. I spent many extra hours in my college’s athletic training office just to observe what they were doing.

It wasn’t until years later, though, that I began to connect my interests. At Pacers, my love for investigations and sports were combined, which allowed me to spend hours talking to people in the community about their athletic ventures and the various injuries they were experiencing. I saw the difference physical therapy could make and ultimately realized it 's what I want to do.

I am currently finishing up my prerequisites and am in the process of applying to PT programs for matriculation spring or summer 2023, hopefully in the Washington, DC area!
